This portrait of Nam June Paik was produced as a "video catalogue" for the national touring exhibition The Electronic Super Highway, which premiered at The Museum of Art in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This work features recent installations, historical background and interviews with the artist. The title refers to a 1974 report that Paik prepared for the Rockefeller Foundation, entitled "Media Planning for the Post Industrial Society." In it he predicted much of the technological transformation we have experienced in the past twenty years, and urged the creation of what he termed the Electronic Super Highway. For this exhibition, Paik has created his own version of the "Cybertown," or smalltown America in the electronic age, a new community founded on moving images.'

'The Girl Chewing Gum is a twelve-minute 16 mm film made by British artist John Smith in 1976, when he was a postgraduate student at the Royal College of Art in London. Shot primarily in Dalston, close to the artist’s home, the film is at once a portrait of street life in East London and a wryly funny critique of the myth of documentary neutrality.'

'The film profiles four subjects with extraordinary careers: Dave Hoover, a wild-animal tamer; George Mendonça, a topiary gardener at Green Animals Topiary Garden in Portsmouth, Rhode Island; Ray Mendez, an expert on naked mole-rats who has designed an exhibit on the animals for the Philadelphia Zoo; and Rodney Brooks, an MIT scientist who works in robotics. In the interviews with the men, which act as the guiding narration for the film, they discuss their personal lives, what led them to their professions, what challenges they face in their work, and their thoughts about what they see in the future for their careers, their fields, and the world.'

'Christopher Petit's 'Content' is a kind of hypnotic road movie, a meditation on the limbo of middle-age and the flatness of the digital age. The film isn't available for love nor money, so this is my Frankenstein construction from two badly corrupted online sources. The lesser version is from here on YouTube, the better version was ripped from German TV, but covered in the worst imaginable large yellow subtitles. I've tried to key them out, but it's a bit of a mess down there. The stuttering video disappears after about 10 minutes. I at least managed to get a solid audio track together.'
